The Manor, Chigwell

A bespoke staircase designed to become the architectural centrepiece of the home. This multi-level staircase combines flowing curved geometry with refined materials and detailed craftsmanship, creating a balance between luxury, warmth, and structural elegance.

The staircase features solid walnut elements throughout, paired with polished marble treads and risers to achieve a clean and timeless finish. Every curve was carefully manufactured and installed to maintain seamless transitions across all levels while preserving visual symmetry from every viewing angle.

Custom metal spindles were fabricated and professionally spray-finished in a rich bronze coating, adding contrast against the lighter stone finishes and complementing the deep walnut tones of the handrails. The bespoke walnut handrail follows the staircase continuously, enhancing the fluid movement of the design while providing a premium tactile finish.

From the sweeping curved landings to the precision detailing around each spindle and tread junction, this project required high-level joinery accuracy, careful templating, and coordinated installation on site.
